PRACTICAL ADVICES

◊ Here are some advices to follow before your removal, in order to not spoil time and energy :

D-30 >>>

• If you are a tenant, take an appointment with the owners to carry out an inventory of fixtures
• If you are a joint owner and you sell your apartment, ask the trade union for the account decree.
• Make transfer your account in tour future bank agency.
• Contact your Internet and Telecom supplier in order to transfer or to cancel your subscription with effect the following day of your departure.
• Take contact with the new educational circle which will welcome your children.
• Inform your insurance agency by letter with acknowledgement of delivery that you will change of address.
• Phone the electricity, gas and water in order to note your consumption and to cancel your subscription.

D-10 >>>

• Prevent your guardian of the date of removals, and so the use of the elevator.
• Prevent your neighbour of the removals date.
• Forecast the necessary for the period you will be private of your personal stuff.

D-1 >>>

• Deposit all the items fix at the wall, floors, ceiling (glosses cupboards of toilet, etc.)
• To empty and disconnect the domestic machines (refrigerator, freezer)
• Take care of well close the containers having a container
• To put a label at each key
• To sprinkle the plants sufficiently
• To gather the personal objects, jewels, papers, etc...

The day-D >>>

• Before the departure of the removals team, check with the team chief the set of the pieces (wall cupboards, attic, cellars in order to nothing forget)
• To have some cleaning product in order to clean the apartment after the departure of the removals team.
• To do a last inspection of the housing before the departure of the truck.
• To turn off the water, the gas, the electricity, to remove the name of the letter-box, to close the shutters, to go down the dustbins.

When you arrive in your new buildings >>>

• To make an inventory of fixtures
• To ask the new contract of subscription of gas, electricity, and water.
• To announce your arrival to the agency of insurance and disease.
• Check your inscription on the electoral roll of your new residence.
• Announce your change of residence to the local authority of your new housing

To communicate your new address >>>

• To the new taxes centre.
• To the pension fund.
• To your mutual insurance company.
• To the TV channels
• Contact the Post office for the follow-up of the mail
• Do the change of address on your automobile license (if not statement in the event of checking of papers of the car)
